Bobbie Jean Jones Allen

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Jones Allen, of Chancellor, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 in Dothan, Alabama. She was 89.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Goodman Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Bobbie was born May 31, 1935 in Alabama to the late James M. and Lala E. Key Jones. In addition to her parents, siblings, Jimmy Ned Jones, Peggy Jones Monaghan, Pearline Stephenson all preceded her in death. Bobbie was a lifelong member of Goodman Baptist Church who was deeply loved by her family and friends. She graduated from Macarthur Technical Institute with a degree in cosmetology. She would soon go on to open her own beauty shop in March 17, 1971 where she would continue her passion for 47 years. On March 21, 2018 she decided to retire and close her shop.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Luther Lamar Allen; son, Timothy L. Allen (Hilda) of Enterprise, Al; daughter, Melissa Pethel (Timothy) of Coffee Springs, Al; siblings, Kaye Clark (Jimmy), Faye Thames (Jerry), Janice Reynolds all of Enterprise, Alabama; grandchildren: Kent Allen (Nichol), Kylie Fink (Jeremy), Tyler Pethel (Brittney); great-grandchildren: Taylor Huston-Allen, Lily Huston-Allen, Jackson Fink, Mason Allen, Kallen Fink.
