Betty Howe Stroud of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She was 77.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Betty was born August 12, 1946, to the late Leonard and Myrtle Howe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Brandon Stroud, and seven siblings Bill Howe, Elsie Howe, Jessie Neary, Frank Howe, Dorothy Pfeifle, Mary Tate and her twin brother Ben Howe. She was an artist who loved painting, making clothes and other crafts. Her yard and flowers were the pride of the neighborhood. She also loved playing cards and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren who called her, “Betty The Great.” She had a great sense of humor, and was always the voice of reason in times of trouble.
Survivors include her daughter, Hally Steinert (Deryk) of Cookeville, TN; three grandchildren, Braden Stroud (Nikki) of North Port, FL, Bailey Ogle of Cookeville, TN and Brydger (Kennedy) Steinert of Cookeville, TN. Five great-grandchildren, Mikah Stroud, Mickey Stroud, Miles Stroud, Scarlett Ogle and Violet Ogle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
