Betty Bradley Calande of Bonifay, Florida, formerly of Enterprise, Alabama; passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was 82.
Memorialization will be by cremation with no services scheduled at this time.
Betty was born September 30, 1943 in Covington Virginia to the late Ivan H. and Margaret Carson Bradley. She passed into the next life as she lived her whole life full of persistence, stubbornness, and with a great sense of humor. She spent more than four decades in bedside nursing, and shared her passion and love with her patients, coworkers, and their families, and was much loved by them all. To her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends she was affectionately called Aunt B, and to an unlucky and rowdy few she will forever be known as Super Nanny. She had a deep love of the beach, travel, camping, reading, visiting with her Virginia family and lifelong friends, and she took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. But her greatest gift and source of pride was the years she devoted to patient care. In addition to her parents, one sister, Patricia Bradley; two brothers, John Carson Bradley, Robert Charles Bradley; one grandson, Stephen Szmyr; step-mom, Billie Jean Bradley all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children: Elizabeth Chambers Barker (Paul), Victoria Chambers Sanders (Greg), Ivan Clay Chambers (Tracy) Steven Hill (Amy); siblings, Bobby Charles Bradley, Susie Bradley Fridley, Frances Bradley; grandchildren: Danielle, Robert Michael, Elizabeth Cecelia; nine great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
