Betty A (Adkinson) Mitchell

Betty A. Mitchell of Enterprise, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Dothan, Alabama. She was 87. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend  Michael Mynatt officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday January 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel. Betty was born to the late George Adkinson and Claudia Lucille Robinette. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Gerald Mitchell; two brothers and sister in laws, Durwood Adkinson, (Rosa), and Lavaughn Adkinson, (Nellie). She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Rasmussen; son, Kevin Mitchell (Traci); grandchildren, Megan Rasmussen (Clay Scofield), Zane Mitchell, Zoie Mitchell, Caden, Cole, Clay Sherrer; numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank the wonderful caring staff at the Terrace-Grove Park in Dothan, Alabama, and the staff with Enhabit for all the expert care, support that was given to our mom and family during her Lewy Body Dementia journey.
