Berita Walker Hoy

Berita Walker Hoy of Newton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024.  She was 74 years old.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Cornerstone Church in Dothan with Pastor Bobby Marks officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Berita was born July 2, 1950 in Enterprise to the late James and Arvie Dee Walker.  Berita was a compassionate lady who genuinely took care of people while working in the healthcare field.  Her family will deeply miss her, yet there is comfort knowing she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her son, Michael Helms (Stacey); siblings, Patty Grillo (Jerry), Patricia McInnis (Donnie), Jimmy Walker (Shirley), Terry Walker (Sylvia), and Tammy Hughes (Jesse); grandchild, Branson Helms; and numerous nieces and nephews.
