Barry Owen Redmon

Barry Redmon, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 63.

He was born on June 13, 1961, in Alabaster, Alabama, to Roy and Gelene Redmon, who preceded him in death. Barry graduated from Coffee Springs High School and proudly served in the United States Army, embodying the spirit of dedication and service. Following his military career, he became a skilled carpenter, known for his craftsmanship and work ethic.

A devoted family man, Barry cherished his children: son Justin Redmon, daughter Julia Redmon, step-sons Camron McGee (Ashley) and Brian Newman. He was also a loving brother, survived by his brother Brian Redmon (Starla) and sister Lane Cooner (Jeremy).

Barry's warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and he was especially close to his church family at Cultivate Church, where he found joy and community. Barry was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed sports of all kinds, often sharing his passion with loved ones. His laughter and love for life will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 1:15 PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Barry's memory to the American Lung Association at 55 West Wacker Dr., Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601, or to the Enterprise Lions Club Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 310598, Enterprise, Alabama 36331.

Barry Redmon's legacy of love, service, and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
