Barbara Anderson Vonier

Mrs. Barbara Anderson Vonier, age 88 of Donaldonville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:30 AM at First Baptist Church, Donalsonville, Georgia, with Brother Ron McCaskill and Brother Michael Wingersahn officiating.

Barbara was born on February 3, 1938, in Orlando, Florida, to the late C.H. Anderson and Rosalia Anderson. She was a graduate of Thomasville High School, Thomasville, Georgia. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Donalsonville. She was a loving wife, Mama, and Mimi. She loved to work outdoors in her flower beds, and she truly enjoyed being with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jean Vonier of Donaldsonville; her son, Chuck Vonier (Laurie Jones) of Lake Butler, Florida; her grandchildren, Grenan Martin (Aaron) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Payne Vonier (Nathan Dunn) of Ozark, Alabama; and the sunshine of her life, her great-granddaughter, Rosalee “Rosie” Watson.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, C.H. and Rosalia Anderson; her husband of 58 years, Billy Vonier; and her sisters, Jacquelyn Jones and Maxine Stills; and nephew, Mike Jones.
