Barbara Ann Veneziano

Barbara Ann Veneziano, age 69, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2025. Born on January 31, 1956, in New York City, New York, she was the beloved daughter of Peter and Shirley Notaro, both of whom preceded her in death.

A member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Enterprise, Barbara found joy and comfort in her faith and community. She was an avid reader, with a particular passion for true stories, thrillers, and historical narratives that brought her favorite characters to life. A founding member of the Tartan Pines Book Club, she cherished the friendships formed over shared stories and laughter.

In addition to her love of reading, Barbara was an accomplished quilter, pouring her heart into each creation. Her quilts were not just works of art; they were personal narratives that reflected her spirit and the beauty she saw in the world around her. She gifted themed quilts to close friends and family that centered on their lives.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dr. Peter Veneziano; her daughter, Amy Anderson (Jeffery); and her son, Peter Veneziano Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Steven Notaro, and her beloved grandchildren, Miles and Hayes. Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, John Notaro and Tom Notaro.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11 AM in the chapel of Sorrels Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, February 24, 2025, from 5 PM until 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's memory to the Enterprise Public Library, a place she treasured at 101 E. Grubbs Street Enterprise, Alabama 36330..

Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, creativity, and community spirit will continue to inspire those left behind.
