Avis M Davis

Avis M. Davis, of Luverne, Alabama; passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. She was 87.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 8, 2022 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Billy Cardwell officiating.  Burial will follow at Shady Grove Assembly of God Church, in Coffee Springs, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 10:00 and continuing until service time.

Avis was born November 19, 1934 in Alabama to the late Joseph Asbury & Flora Simmons McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Davis, and her first husband; Cecil Ellenburg, brother; Phenice and sister; Gethel.

Survivors include her daughter: Charlotte Godwin (David) of Montgomery, Alabama, two grandchildren: Kimberly Moulton (Patrick); Brittany Enis (Darrell), and six great grandchildren: Britton, Coleman, Landry, Ivy, Londyn, and Lakelyn.
