Austin C. Aldrich

Austin C. Aldrich of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022.  He was 25.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at El Bethel Baptist Church in Chancellor with Pastor Kameran Oglesby and Pastor Parker Roberts officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. continuing until the time of service.  Final disposition will be by cremation.

Austin was born July 24, 1997 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Diana; grandfathers, Claire Aldrich and Kyong Nok Kim; step-grandfather, Walter Dube; grandmothers, Kim Yong Cha Corzine, Heather Dube, and Tae Pong Yi; great-grandparents, Evelyn Corzine, Jack Corzine, and Lee Tae Bonge; great-uncle, Young Soo Kim; great-aunt, Moon Pyong Pak; and cousin, Julie Corzine.

Austin graduated from Enterprise High School in 2015 and attended Troy University.  He aspired to join the U.S. Air Force.  He was an avid animal lover who rescued unwanted dogs, including two special dogs, Zalayla, who was 3 years old, and Jasper, who was 8 months old.

Survivors include his parents, Clay and René Aldrich of Enterprise, and sisters, Cara Holzhausen and Alexandria Aldrich.

Because Austin had such a big heart, the family requests any donations to be made in Austin's honor to organizations that were dear to him including Wiregrass Emergency Pregnancy Services at 442, Glover Avenue Enterprise, AL 36330; Brian Sawyer Ministries, PO Box 436, Geneva, Alabama, 36340; or to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org.  Also, a donation of a tree to be planted in the family's memorial garden honoring Austin would be greatly appreciated.
