Adrienne E. Bourbeau, 86, of Graceville, Florida, passed away at her home on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Born on August 7, 1939, in Coral Gables, Florida. Throughout her remarkable life, she embraced creativity, independence, and the arts. She built a career as an actress and film director and was recognized as one of the early female assistant directors, helping pave the way for women in the film industry. Her passion for storytelling extended beyond the screen as she was the insperation for the book Whiskey Mountain Days.
Though she never married and had no children of her own, Adrienne treasured the many meaningful friendships she developed over the years. Those who knew her appreciated her creative spirit, determination, and unique perspective on life.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Paula; her niece, Carrie; her great-nephew, Matthew; her dear friend, Bill Walker and Elvis and Beverly Franks; along with many other friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and companionship.
In accordance with Adrienne’s wishes, graveside services will be held at Flagler Memorial Cemetery in Miami, Florida at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sycamore Cat & Dog Retirement Home at 2610 County Road 154 Zanoni, MO 65784 in Adrienne’s memory.
Adrienne’s creative legacy, pioneering spirit, and love of the arts will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory continue to inspire those who follow their dreams with courage and determination.
