Merle (Bedsole) Rhodes

Merle Bedsole Rhodes of Opp, AL passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.  She was 83.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Larry Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home directing and Gary Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until time of service.

Merle was born March 6, 1936 to the late Alvin and Annie Bedsole.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Rhodes; daughter, Mary Smith and brothers, John and James Bedsole.  She was involved in the Coffee County Baptist Association and her church, First Baptist Church of Opp.

She is survived by her son, Tim Rhodes of Maryland; sisters, Mary Carnley of Kinston, AL and Betty Davis of Opp, AL; brother, Jimmie Bedsole (Fay) of Opp, AL; brother-in-law, Bill Rhodes (Linda) of Kinston, AL; sister-in-law, Wynette Rhodes of Kinston, AL; grandson, Brandon McClain and several nieces and nephews.
